The seal is simply designed, but has nice engraving on one side, which reads: 1968 autumn, carved by Shi Dao. The stone is, or resembles Shoushan stone. Origin: Recently, we had the privilege of acquiring a richly varied collection of old/antique Chinese stone seals. These remarkable seals have been brought together over many years by a private collector. They consist of good quality authentic Chinese seals made from various colored mineral stones, including possibly shoushan stone (larderite).
