## Description: Olympus OM-System Zuiko Auto-S 40mm f/2 - Rare Pancake Lens

### Overview

Up for auction is one of the most sought-after and rarest lenses in the Olympus OM system: the **Zuiko Auto-S 40mm f/2**. Often referred to as a "legendary pancake lens," it is highly prized by collectors and photographers alike for its incredibly compact size, superb optical performance, and versatile focal length.

### Optical and Design Excellence

* **Ultra-Compact Pancake Design:** Measuring only about 25mm in length, this lens makes any Olympus OM body pocketable while maintaining professional image quality.
* **Versatile Focal Length:** The 40mm focal length offers a "natural" perspective that sits perfectly between a wide-angle 35mm and a standard 50mm, making it ideal for street photography and everyday use.
* **Sharpness and Contrast:** Despite its diminutive size, the 6-element construction delivers impressive sharpness across the frame and the signature high-contrast rendering of the Zuiko line.
* **Compatibility:** Native OM-mount for analog cameras, and easily adaptable to modern mirrorless systems (Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon R, etc.) where it becomes an ideal, unobtrusive prime.

### Condition

* **Optics:** The glass is in excellent condition. As seen in the photos, the elements are clear, with no scratches, fungus, or haze. The coating remains vibrant.
* **Body:** The lens barrel is in beautiful cosmetic condition with very minimal signs of use. The numbering and markings are crisp and clean.
* **Functionality:** The focus ring turns smoothly and precisely. The aperture blades are clean, oil-free, and snap sharply.

### Included Items

As shown in the original photographs, this auction includes:

* Olympus OM-System Zuiko Auto-S 40mm f/2 Lens
* Genuine Olympus Front Lens Cap
* Genuine Olympus Rear Lens Cap
* Protective Lens Filter (Olympus 49mm Skylight 1A)

### Shipping and Handling

The lens will be wrapped with extreme care using professional-grade protective materials to ensure it arrives safely. Shipping will be handled via a tracked and insured courier service.
