David design - Jonas Lindvall - Taburet (6) - beatnik - Egetræ

Beatnik Stools – Set of 6 Jonas Lindvall for David Design & deNord, Sweden, early 1990s The Beatnik stool was designed by Jonas Lindvall following the remarkable success of Izakaya Koi, the influential Japanese restaurant in Malmö that Lindvall designed in the early 1990s. Located on Lilla Torg, the restaurant became an international reference for contemporary interior design, and frequent requests from visitors to purchase the furniture led Lindvall to develop the Beatnik family for David Design and deNord. The Beatnik collection is characterised by its honest, architectural simplicity and impeccable Scandinavian craftsmanship. The range includes a table and stools in three different heights, designed to suit various counter and table settings. This listing concerns a set of six Beatnik stools in solid oak, all in the middle-height version. The stools show a beautifully warm patina and remain in very good used condition, with only light signs of wear consistent with age and use.
