This bronze statue of the Dancing Faun is a faithful reproduction of one of the most iconic masterpieces of ancient art, discovered in Pompeii and now preserved at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli. The Chiurazzi foundry was renowned not only for monumental works but also for high-quality reproductions of masterpieces from major museums, supplying the flourishing Grand Tour market of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This particular piece features a distinctive Pompeian green patina.
