England Silver Halfgroat – Charles I (1625–1649), Type 3a3 An attractive hammered silver halfgroat of King Charles I, struck during the early Stuart period before the English Civil War. This Type 3a3 issue features the crowned fourth bust of Charles I facing left with the denomination II to the right, while the reverse shows the classic oval quartered royal shield within inner circles on both sides. Struck in silver, the coin weighs approximately 0.98 g and is catalogued as Spink SCBC 2833 (North 2258).
