Large assortment of ladies’ watch straps, various types of leather This lot consists of 22 drawers of vintage ladies’ watch straps in many different types of leather. • 11 drawers with 16 pockets each • 11 drawers with 20 pockets each In total, this equals 396 pairs of straps. The original cabinet is missing. Condition: The overall condition is mixed. These straps are old, and although they are new old stock (NOS), many have dried out leather and may show cracking when bent. As a result, the condition of most straps should be considered poor to fair, mainly suitable for restoration, parts, or craft use. Types of leather included: • Eidechse (Lizard) • Elephant • Crocodile • Seidenkalb (Calf leather) • Corfam (imitation leather – these straps are generally in very poor condition) Some of these leathers are no longer produced today. Since the straps are vintage stock, they do not contribute to the modern harvesting of endangered animals. Sizes: Most straps are 8 mm or 10 mm wide, with a few examples slightly smaller or larger.
