Between 1910 and 1912, he lived in Lierre, in Flanders, which enabled him to become fully proficient in Dutch. In 1934, he met the Surrealists Magritte, Scutenaire and Mesens. In 1935, he took part in ‘The Surrealist Exhibition’ in La Louvière. In 1936, he published several poems set to music in Brussels. 26 contemporary artworks are presented thanks to the generosity of artists, galleries and collectors who support this solidarity sale. All funds raised through this action will be allocated to forbidden colours, which supports carefully selected projects helping LGBTQI+ people in Europe to live their lives to the fullest with self-respect, dignity and freedom. forbidden colours is one of the main advocacy organizations at the European Union level. In 2023, the organisation built the largest lawsuit in the history of the European Union, against Hungary's anti-LGBTQI+ law. It is currently running several projects countering the growing anti-democracy and anti-LGBTQI+ threats all over Europe, such as in Italy, Hungary, Poland, Georgia, and Belgium. forbidden colours carries out all these actions thanks to your support. Paul Colinet was born on 2 May 1898 in Arquennes in Belgium. Between 1910 and 1912, he lived in Lierre, in Flanders, which enabled him to become fully proficient in Dutch.
