A very RARE and beautiful book..."Northern Spain" written by Edgar T. A. Wigram and published in 1906... Original orange-brown cloth lettered gilt in brown and blocked with a design based on the 'House of Shells' at Salamanca. Top edge gilt, light wear around edges and corners, shelfwear, , light stains on boards-see photos. Inside with 75 tissue-guarded colour plates of paintings by Wigram of his cycling tour of Spain with his brother William Ainger Wigram to whom the book is dedicated. illustrations in very good condition, text with light spots of foxing but overall clean. Tanned endpapers-see photos. Fold out map in very good condition.Overall very good.
