A pocket guinea balance with no makers name , was probably on the label inside .Made in England ca:2e half of the 1800 - 3e quarter. The brass coin scale springs into weighing position when opened. The scale uses no weights because the beam has on one side a folding weight for a guinea and a half-guinea. A slider shows on a graduation scale , the actual weight of the coin. The mahogany case with the original printed directions (worn) of use in the lid and at the bottom . Lock is not working
