Hasselblad Carl Zeiss Sonnar 4/150mm C | Telelinse
A Hasselblad Carl Zeiss Sonnar 150mm f/4 C telelens
Germany - January 1968
Serial n° = 5267015
This manual lens is specifically designed for the Hasselblad V system, such as the well-known 500-series medium format cameras. It has a focal length of 150mm, which roughly corresponds to an 82.5mm lens on a full-frame camera. This makes it an excellent choice for portrait photography.
Equipped with a robust Synchro-Compur leaf shutter.
Maximum aperture of f/4 and minimum f/32.
Minimum focusing distance: 1.4 meters.
With "Jumping Aperture" system: While looking through the viewfinder, the aperture always remains fully open (f/4). This is necessary to obtain a clear image for focusing. Only the moment you press the camera's shutter button does the aperture jump rapidly to the value you have set (e.g., f/11), just before the shutter fires.
This lens suffers from "Schmidt rings" or Delamination (see photo 10): The concentric rings that can be seen on the rear lens element are a known age-related phenomenon in some Zeiss lenses for Hasselblad. They are ring-shaped patterns that form when the glue (Canadian balsam) between two glued-together lens elements begins to loosen or dry out. This causes internal reflections and loss of contrast in your photos. It is a costly repair requiring the lens elements to be detached and re-glued.
Lens length = 12 cm
Diameter = 7.7 cm
Weight = 705 g
Fair condition. Normal traces of age and use. Schmidt rings issue (see description above).
For a good impression, please watch all photos carefully.
