A slightly rounded, oval Jingasa (headdress) made of glossy brown lacquered wood, featuring a golden hira maki-e mon (crest) of the Nukui clan at the center, with a fastening ring and a bow at the back.
It is topped with a decorative three-tiered thehen no ana (top opening) made of black lacquered copper.
The rim is matte gold lacquer.
The interior is red lacquered and features four leather fastening rings for a veil covering the nape of the neck.
