It is from the series Ōyama Chūsaku Original Lithograph Masterpieces: Two Crane Themes, published by Mainichi Shinbunsha (毎日新聞社) in 1980 (Showa 55), and is a classic masterpiece of modern Japanese animal printmaking. Executed in a minimalist and elegant modern style, the work depicts a red-crowned crane in graceful flight: its body white as snow, flight feathers deep black, and crown bright red. The background features a soft gradient of blue, grey, and gold, creating an ethereal and tranquil sky atmosphere. The piece combines the poetic charm of Eastern aesthetics with the delicate texture of modern lithography. In traditional Japanese and Asian culture, the red-crowned crane symbolizes longevity, good fortune, and purity. It is a classic artistic subject with profound traditional significance and is highly sought after by collectors. This piece is number 145 from a limited edition of 350 (145/350), bearing the artist’s hand-signed signature “Chūsaku” and red artist’s seal, with complete edition and signature details. The title and artist’s name are printed on the original box. The work retains its original wooden frame, acrylic panel, original packaging box, and yellow dust cover, with the full set intact. The frame shows minor scuffs and bumps; the backboard has one damaged area. The original box shows one area of wear and damage. Due to age, the paper exhibits slight natural aging and minor creasing. Overall condition is good.
