Seiko - Lord Matic - Ingen mindstepris - 5606-7310 - Mænd - 1974

Presented for auction by Second Vintage A captivating example of Seiko's innovative design language from the 1970s, this Lord Matic reference 5606-7310 stands out with its mesmerizing faceted crystal and striking blue gradient dial. The Lord Matic line was positioned just below the King Seiko and Grand Seiko tiers, offering sophisticated movements and daring aesthetics. This particular piece perfectly encapsulates the era's flair, combining a sharp tonneau case with an intricate original bracelet and a dial that dances with the light, making it a superb addition to any vintage Japanese watch collection. Brand: Seiko Model: Lord Matic Reference Number: 5606-7310 Serial Number: 421028 Movement: Automatic, Caliber 5606A, 23 Jewels Dial: Blue gradient sunburst dial with applied gold-tone indices, exceptionally clean and vibrant Case Size: 36 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless Steel Production Year: February 1974 Condition: Excellent vintage condition, beautifully preserved faceted Lord Matic Dial and Hands The dial of this Lord Matic is a visual delight, featuring a rich blue gradient that transitions smoothly across the surface, enhanced by a subtle sunburst finish. It is remarkably well-preserved, remaining exceptionally clean with no visible spotting, moisture damage, or discoloration. The applied gold-tone hour markers are intricate, featuring textured central channels that catch the light beautifully. The applied SEIKO and LM logos are crisp and prominent. The gold-tone baton hands feature black central stripes for legibility and remain in excellent condition, matching the framing of the day-date aperture at the three o'clock position. Case and Crystal The 36mm stainless steel case features a classic 1970s tonneau profile, exhibiting a pleasing contrast between the brushed upper surfaces and polished flanks. The case lines and lug profiles remain sharp and well-defined, showing only honest, age-consistent signs of light wear and handling marks. The watch is fitted with a striking faceted crystal that elevates the visual depth of the blue dial beneath it. The crystal presents well, though close inspection reveals some light surface wear and minor edge marks consistent with vintage use, adding character without detracting from the overall visual impact. The solid screw-down caseback is clearly engraved with the reference and serial numbers. Movement Powering this timepiece is the Seiko Caliber 5606A, an automatic movement featuring 23 jewels. Close inspection of the movement reveals clean bridges and a well-preserved rotor, clearly stamped with the Seiko branding and caliber details. Running in vintage operational condition. Maintains the authentic mechanical character of the era. The timegrapher indicates a performance of -55 to -60 seconds per day. Strap The watch is presented on its original stainless steel multi-link bracelet, a fantastic period detail that completes the vintage aesthetic. The folding clasp is proudly stamped with both the SEIKO and LM logos, confirming its originality. The bracelet shows moderate wear and stretch typical of its age but remains highly wearable and comfortable, accommodating a wrist size of up to 20.5cm. Condition This Seiko Lord Matic is in excellent vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally clean and vibrant, standing out as a highlight of the piece. The case retains strong geometry with normal surface wear, and the faceted crystal, while showing minor marks, remains a defining feature. The original signed bracelet is a significant plus for collectors. Dimensions Case Size: 36 mm (excluding the crown) Wrist Size: 20.5 cm Remarks The combination of a faceted crystal, a vivid blue dial, and an original signed bracelet makes this Lord Matic a highly compelling vintage Seiko. It represents a period of bold experimentation by the brand, offering collectors a piece that is both historically interesting and visually striking on the wrist.
