Vase - Ler - Japan - Cinnabar Kasama Vase (Ingen mindstepris)

This tall and elegant flower vase was created by Kenji Tayama of Tayama Pottery, a kiln based in the birthplace of Kasama ware. The piece was fired in a traditional noborigama climbing kiln, a type of kiln deeply connected to the origins of Kasama ceramics. The most striking feature of this vase is its beautiful cinnabar glaze, with soft flowing tones of red, pale violet, cream, and earthy yellow-green blending across the surface. The organic transitions in color, combined with the hand-thrown form, give the work both warmth and presence. The gently swelling body and flared rim create a refined yet natural balance. This is a substantial piece that can stand beautifully on its own as an art object, while also functioning as a flower vase with strong decorative impact. It is well suited for collectors of Japanese studio pottery and Kasama ware. Dimensions: Height: 29cm Body diameter: 16cm Mouth diameter: 12cm Weight: 2,000g Packed weight: 3,600g 【Shipping & Tax Information】 IMPORTANT NOTICE This item will be shipped from Japan using surface mail (sea shipping) due to its size and weight (3,600 g packed).
