About the Artist:
Nobuyoshi Araki is one of Japan’s most iconic and influential photographers, born in Tokyo in 1940.
He gained early recognition with his work Satchin and became widely known after publishing Sentimental Journey, a deeply personal photo book documenting his honeymoon.
Araki is famous for capturing intimate moments of daily life, Tokyo street scenes, and bold, provocative works, establishing a unique and highly recognizable style.
Often referred to as a “genius” in Japan and praised internationally as a “Grand Maestro,” his works are highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
