Efter eksamen fra kunstskolen i Firenze, Italien,
Jeg studerede italienske keramiske teknikker.
Efter at være vendt tilbage til Japan begyndte jeg at udfordre mig selv for at skabe værker, der lå ud over keramikken.
Da jeg fandt nogle bananrester, min fars yndlings, i køkkenet, var jeg overbevist om, at dette var kunst, og siden da har jeg skabt banan-tema værker i omkring 18 år.
