This pillowcase is a unique vintage Hungarian folk piece , meticulously crafted by hand in the Torocko region of Transylvania. Due to the high value placed on these items by locals, it's incredibly rare to find Hungarian products from this area available for purchase.
The pillowcase is sewn by hand onto a thinner, commercially available fabric and features a lateral cut where the pillow can be inserted and secured with strings.Now the strings are missing .
It measures 50 cm x 42 cm (19.7 inches x 16.5 inches) and is fully functional for use as a pillowcase.
Estimated to have been made between 1960-1980, this pillowcase is in good condition with only 2 -3 stains on the back side , the not embroidered part of the pillow .
