A superbly cast and gilt bronze replica of an ancient Greek bread seal depicting two birds in symmetrical stylized cartouches, from the Benaki museum in Athens, mounted on a bespoke Imperial Black marble pediment for a total size of 8x8cm and weight of 379g. Hand engraved and numbered to the underside. The original seal would have been made of clay and used to seal loaves of bread for good fortune.
Condition: Excellent.
This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
