Fortis - TrueLine Automatic - Ingen mindstepris - Mænd - 1970-1979

Fortis True Line Automatic Day-Date men's wristwatch – a rare and increasingly hard-to-find vintage Fortis piece featuring a 30-jewel signed Fortis automatic movement! Fortis True Line Automatic Day-Date men's wristwatch with a hand-windable automatic movement. A rare early Fortis Automatic Day-Date model from the late 1960s to early 1970s, which has become increasingly difficult to find today in original condition. Its automatic movement functions perfectly and keeps accurate time. Overall, the watch is in nice condition, showing surface scratches from use on the steel case back, along with some wear to the gold-plated surfaces, mainly on the rear part of the case and around the area behind the crown, where one or two more visible areas of wear/loss can also be seen. Beautiful, flawless silk-finished dial with a finely radial brushed texture and a distinctive crosshair design. Running along the inner edge of the dial is a special finely lined gold-tone minute track, giving the watch an especially elegant vintage appearance. Applied gold-tone indices and hands, with a central seconds hand. Date window at the 2 o’clock position and day aperture above the 6 o’clock marker. Both the date and day change perfectly around 12 o’clock. Its characteristic case shape reflects one of the most interesting and sought-after design languages of the era. Signed steel case back featuring a separate gold-tone Fortis logo medallion/plaque. According to some sources, this central plaque may be made of solid 18K gold; however, I cannot guarantee this with complete certainty. An increasingly hard-to-find Fortis automatic model featuring a 30-jewel movement. Signed Fortis automatic Felsa brass movement. Caliber: 4009 30 jewels. Reference: 6162 Production period: approx. 1969–1973 34.5 mm without crown × 41 mm lug-to-lug. Fitted with a new high-quality poison green leather strap. The pictures are part of the description of the watch.
