Anatolian Bronze Flat Arrowhead Group (8) (Ingen mindstepris)
A fine selection of eight Anatolian cast bronze flat arrowheads, featuring a subtle leaf-shape with some displaying a more angular blade. The arrowheads present a subtle mid-rib and a narrow tang which gradually sharpens into a point. A lovely patina and earthly encrustations to the surface. Signs of wear as consistent with age, such as minor scratches and chips to the edges of the blades.
Anatolia, also known in antiquity as Asia Minor, was located in the Anatolian Peninsula. It is one of the first regions to have boasted bronze production, much like Luristan culture in the Near East. Arrowheads of similar style were popular across Transcaucasian civilisations, dating from the 1st millennium onwards, and have been recovered in burials’ excavations.
Measurements: (circa) L 5.2-7.5cm
