Introduction
Offered here is a classic Seiko 5 automatic wristwatch, a true staple of Japanese watchmaking. Seiko built its reputation on reliable, mass-produced mechanical movements with excellent parts availability, and the Seiko 5 line is one of the most collected entry points into vintage Seiko.

Historical & Collector Value
Seiko 5 models are appreciated by collectors for their honest engineering, distinctive mid-century to late-20th-century styling, and the strong brand heritage behind them. This piece features the recognizable Seiko 5 emblem on the dial and a practical day-date display at 3 o'clock, a hallmark of the series. The caseback is engraved with Seiko and the Seiko 5 branding, reinforcing authenticity and the model family. Watches of this type are increasingly sought after as wearable vintage mechanical pieces that still remain serviceable and enjoyable for daily use.

Condition
Overall condition is Good with visible signs of wear consistent with age and use. The stainless steel case shows surface scratches and scuffs, especially noticeable on the case sides and lugs in the close-up side photos. The caseback also shows wear from handling and prior use, but the engravings remain legible, including the reference 5606-7140 and Seiko markings.
The dial appears clean and attractive with baton hour markers and the day-date window at 3 o'clock. The crystal shows light wear; any marks seen are consistent with normal use and studio reflections. The leather strap is a replacement (marked "Genuine Leather") with visible creasing and wear, but it remains functional. Buckle is a standard pin buckle.
Band length: The strap is shown fastened on a cone-shaped wrist gauge, and the buckle position sits around 17 cm. This corresponds to a Short (160-180 mm) fit.
