Paul Pastaud / Limoges

Imagine Limoges in the 1920s, a city where the air smelled of wet clay and the chimneys of the kilns belched white smoke like huge pipes. In the heart of this city, on the rue Jules Noriac, was the studio of Paul Pastaud - the man who turned porcelain into something more than a soup tureen.

The Studio of Shadows and Light:

Paul's studio was not just a factory, but more of an alchemical laboratory. It was said that Pasto had an "eye for the invisible." While other manufacturers struggled with mass production, a strange silence reigned in his realm, broken only by the delicate scraping of brushes.

The Mystery?

Pasto had the gift of gathering the best artists who worked in near-total solitude. Each of them - like the mysterious Mercadet - seemed to put something into the flowers on the plates that could not be seen at first glance.

It was rumored that if you stared long enough at one of Pasto's flowers in the moonlight, it would look as if it had just bloomed.

Paul Pastaud was a master of "understated luxury." While the world went crazy for flashy colors, he imposed a style that whispered.

And here comes the funny part. Paul Pastaud was so proud of his work that he marked his pieces with the initials P.D. (for Paul Pastaud). In the world of collectors today, it is often joked that these initials were his way of telling the competition: "Perfectly Done."

After the 1950s, the studio closed its doors, leaving behind thousands of small masterpieces scattered all over the world. Today, when you find a cup with his stamp, you are not holding just a cup. You are holding a piece of the quiet magic of a man who believed that even the most ordinary afternoon tea should have a pinch of mystery and perfection.

In the world of antique porcelain, the marking of objects is like a "double passport" - one confirms citizenship (origin), the other the noble title (craftsmanship).

The "Limoges" marking (Origin) This is not a company name, but a protected label of origin. It tells you that the porcelain is made from the famous kaolin (white clay) from the Limoges region of France.

The "P.D." marking (Master) This is the personal signature of Paul Pastaud.

Often the "P.D." mark is more valuable than the "Limoges" inscription itself. It guarantees that the design is not a mass-produced print, but came from a studio with an artistic vision.

About the service:

Imagine an afternoon where time has stopped and your only commitment is to decide whether you want a little or "a little more" coffee. This service is not just porcelain, it is a great jewel that brings the feeling of a Viennese coffee house from the beginning of the last century directly into your living room.

Why is this service special?

Double standard (in a good way): You have two sizes of pleasure at your disposal – 6 100 ml cups (for those moments of strong "waking up" espresso) and 6 150 ml cups (for a lavish cappuccino or tea when the conversation is too interesting to end quickly).

The floral decor with motifs of thistles and wild flowers is so delicate that it seems to have been freshly picked from the meadow. The hand-painted details and rich relief ornaments give it the weight that only real porcelain possesses.

!!! The minimal wear of the gold only confirms that the service has been loved and has been present at the most important family gatherings.

Every aristocrat has their little secrets, right?

!!! The Teapot: It has a discreet "hidden knowledge" - a small chip on the inside. It's so shy that it's not even noticeable, but it gives you the right to say that the service has "character".

!!! The Sugar Bowl: Its lid has been the subject of careful care (glued tip), which is proof that the sweet things in life are worth fighting for and protecting, even when they're a little fragile.

Production period 1920 – 1940. This is the "golden age" of Paul Pasto's studio. At this time the P.D marking also appears

This service is for people who value class over perfection and know that the best stories are told over a glass of steaming drink in a beautiful, old

It will be packaged carefully!
