Islamisk Bronze Ring - 11. til 14. århundrede e.Kr. (Ingen mindstepris)
An Islamic Bronze Signet Ring, 11th to 14th Century A.D.
Heavy and well-made Islamic bronze signet ring with a large octagonal bezel measuring approximately 2.5 × 2.2 cm. The bezel is deeply engraved with what appears to be Arabic calligraphy or stylized pseudo-script within a decorative border. The thick hoop shows a rich dark patina with attractive surface texture.
Rings of this type were commonly used throughout the medieval Islamic world (Abbasid, Fatimid, Ayyubid or Mamluk periods) as personal seals for authenticating documents, letters and commercial transactions. The octagonal shape and calligraphic engraving are highly characteristic of Islamic signet rings from this era.
Material: Bronze
Bezel Dimensions: approx. 2.5 × 2.2 cm
