Etrusker Keramik Oinochoe, med TL-test - 30 cm

Etruscan Oinochoe with Hoplite Warrior 4th Century B.C. A superb Faliscan red-figure oinochoe. Wheel-thrown pottery oinochoe with a wide base which gradually expands to a globular body with a rounded shoulder, a cylindrical neck with a 'beaked' ovoid spout, and a thick, applied strap handle. The body decorated with a standing hoplite warrior, looking to his right, with feathered helmet, chest armor, short skirt, cape and holding a long spear with the righ handle and decorated shield with the left one. Half palmettes at the sides. The scene framed by meander frieze below, black bands above and vertical spikes friezes at the sides. The pice includes thermoluminescence test. Dimensions: 30,00 cm. Condition: Restored over fracture line from original fragments on the neck and lower area. Good overall condition. Provenance: C. R. Private Collection( Le Cannet, France). Acquired at Pierre-Eric Becker Gallery ( Cannes, France) in 1998.

A superb Faliscan red-figure oinochoe. Wheel-thrown pottery oinochoe
with a wide base which gradually expands to a globular body with a

Condition: Restored over fracture line from original fragments on the

Provenance: C. R. Private Collection( Le Cannet, France). Acquired at
Pierre-Eric Becker Gallery ( Cannes, France) in 1998.
