“Everite King” U.M. Military Style – 1950s – Swiss Made

Vintage Swiss mechanical wristwatch from the 1950s by Everite King, a historic private-label brand retailed by the famous British jeweler H. Samuel. Everite watches were produced in Switzerland and often equipped with reliable Swiss ebauche movements such as Rotary / A. Schild based calibres.

This example features the sought-after military-inspired design with highly legible Arabic numerals, cathedral-style hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The watch preserves an authentic untouched vintage character with beautiful aging and honest patina across the dial and hands.

The manual-winding Swiss calibre 440 movement is running with 15 jewels and represents the robust utilitarian movements widely used during the post-war era. Similar Everite King models from the 1950s are known to use Rotary / A. Schild derived calibre 440 movements.

Historical Background

Everite was a long-running watch brand associated with the British jeweler H. Samuel, founded in the 19th century in England. Although sold primarily in the UK market, Everite watches were Swiss made and powered by respected Swiss movements.

The clean military-inspired aesthetics, compact proportions and reliable hand-wound movement make this piece an attractive collectible for enthusiasts of early post-war Swiss tool watches and classic British-market vintage watches.

The watch is in high overall condition with original vintage character preserved. Minor signs of age and use are consistent with its period and add to its authenticity and collector appeal.
