Up for auction is a 1974 Seiko 6119-854, known among collectors as “Jumbo” due to its 40mm case size. It has a blue sunburst dial that sets the backdrop for a highly distinct conversation started: a Portuguese/English day-date wheel displayed “SEX” for Sexta-feira (Friday). This example comes with the original stainless steel bracelet, fitting wrists of up to 8 inches. Inside, you’ll find a Seiko 6119 automatic movement, with quickset day and date by pressing the crown. The serial number dates it to February 1974. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The cushion case retains its factory geometry with light surface wear.
