B&O 4-speed Stereo turntable type 608 VF
Design: Ib Fabiansen
Launched: 1961. Model year: 1962. Recommended retail price. 495.00 Dkr.
Perhaps the best "regular" turntable on the market today.
The B&O 4-speed stereo turntable, type 608, is designed with special consideration for vibration- and hum-free operation, which is of such crucial importance when playing stereo gramophone records, as the pick-up needle, in order to be able to detect the gramophone record correctly, must be sensitive to vibrations in all directions. The turntable is designed as a stroboscope disc for quick checking of the correct speed. Special device for regulating the different speeds (78, 45, 33 1/3 and 16 2/3 revolutions). The B&O 4-speed stereo turntable is supplied with various B&O tonearms, and the world-famous B&O pick-up unit with diamond needle for playing all types of records. Available in 3 models: 608 U (Universal for 220 volt alternating current 50Hz and 220 volt direct current) 608 V (only for 220 volt alternating current 50 Hz), and
608 VF (only for 220 volt alternating current with built-in preamplifier).
Pick-up arms: the work is delivered with pick-up arm type ST/M, but can also be delivered
with type ST/L.
B&O 4-speed stereo record player is mounted in an elegant teak wood case.
