The 8200 is one of Citizen's most significant automatic movements: introduced around 1975, it became the brand's standard self-winding calibre through the quartz era and went on to underpin the long-running Eagle 7 line that rivalled the Seiko 5. The same architecture survives today in the Miyota 8-series.
