Seiko - King Quartz - Ingen mindstepris - 5856-8070 - Mænd - 1978

EU-based professional seller — no import taxes for EU buyers. Get your hands on this serviced 1978 Seiko King Quartz ref. 5856-8070 with textured white dial, original Seiko bracelet, day-date display and new crystal. Guaranteed vintage Japanese quartz watch with a fresh battery. Model History: The King Quartz collection represented Seiko’s premium quartz offering during the 1970s, carrying the precision-focused spirit of the earlier King Seiko line into the quartz era. These watches were positioned above Seiko’s standard quartz models, with higher-grade movements, refined finishing and more elaborate case and dial work. This ref. 5856-8070 was produced in June 1978 and is powered by Seiko’s calibre 5856, an early high-grade analogue quartz movement with day-date indication. The model combines an angular 1970s stainless-steel case with a textured silver-white dial, applied baton indices and a distinctive King Quartz emblem above 6 o’clock. The English/Kanji day wheel identifies this example as a Japanese domestic market model. It is also fitted with its original Seiko signed integrated stainless-steel bracelet, which gives the watch a particularly cohesive period appearance. Specifications: • Brand: Seiko • Model: King Quartz • Reference: 5856-8070 • Serial number: 867038 • Production date: June 1978 • Movement: Seiko calibre 5856 quartz • Functions: Hours, minutes, centre seconds, day and date • Day language: English / Kanji • Case material: Stainless steel • Case diameter: Approx. 35.5 mm excluding crown, approx. 36.5 mm including crown • Lug-to-lug: Approx. 41 mm • Dial: Bright textured white dial with applied baton hour markers • Crystal: New, scratch-free crystal • Bracelet: Original Seiko stainless-steel bracelet, suitable for wrists up to approx. 18 cm (including the watch) • Box and papers: Not included Condition: The watch is in good overall vintage condition. The angular stainless-steel case retains its attractive original 1970s form, with visible signs of wear, light scratches and some small marks around the edges consistent with age and use. The brushed upper surfaces remain clearly defined, while the polished bezel shows superficial wear visible under close inspection. The textured white dial is well preserved overall and remains attractive, with crisp Seiko and King Quartz printing. The applied hour markers retain their original appearance. There is visible ageing (discolouration) around the outer dial edge, especially near the minute track. This is most noticeable under close inspection but remains consistent with the watch’s vintage character. The watch has a new crystal, which is clean and scratch-free. It retains its original signed crown and original Seiko bracelet with signed clasp. The bracelet shows normal wear from use and fits wrists up to approximately 18 cm. The quartz movement has been serviced, fitted with a new battery, and all functions operate correctly. The watch is supplied with a 3-month functionality guarantee. I aim to capture the condition of the watch accurately. Please make sure to review the pictures closely before bidding. The watch has been completely serviced by a professional watchmaker and tested for full functionality. The water resistance of the watch cannot be guaranteed.
