Antique Ottoman dark purple glass perfume bottle, blown with a globular body, tall cylindrical neck, and flared rim. The glass is a deep dark purple colour with a glossy surface and is decorated with 'Evil Eye' motifs in blue and grey at three positions around the belly. The bottle has an elegant rounded form with a slightly pushed-in base and a neatly shaped rim. The eye ornament gives the piece a distinctive and decorative character. -> This striking design is connected to the protective “Evil Eye” tradition, a motif widely used across the Ottoman world and the Eastern Mediterranean as a symbol of protection against misfortune. Height: ± 68,4 mm Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear, small manufacturing irregularities. Tiny chip from the outside rim and signs of wear consistent with age and use.
