Vintage Off-white Eames DSW fiberglass chair The fiberglass shell was manufactured by Herman Miller in the period 1959-89. The shell is generally in good useable condition with natural patina but there is some rust spot in the seat surface after a previous owner left some metal to rust on it. The leather cushion on the pictures, that covers the rust spots, is included in the auction. There is also a lot of black patina in the fibers and there is some wear on edge of the chair(see pictures). The fiberglass surface is slightly rough in places. The shell has newer shock mounts in good condition. The shell is mounted on newer original light maple wooden base made by Vitra in 2008 - the original sticker is included for documentation of originality and age. The base is in good condition and has natural signs of use especially at the end of the legs but have been carefully cleaned, so it look as good as possible. The base has brand new Vitra white feets. There is nothing missing on the chair. Only due to the condition of the shell the chair have been put in this category. There is reflection of light on the chair in the pictures.
