The composition presents the legendary space hero in an imposing portrait, framed within a bold circular background and accompanied by the unmistakable Flash Gordon emblem. His intense expression, elaborate costume and commanding pose give the image the atmosphere of a vintage movie poster, combining heroic adventure with the visual elegance of traditional illustration. ▸ Graphite pencil on art paper ▸ Format: 42 x 30 cm Hand drawn entirely in graphite pencil, the piece demonstrates remarkable control of light, shadow and texture. Dense graphite passages contrast with carefully preserved highlights across the face and costume, while delicate hatching and tonal transitions create impressive depth without the use of color.
