A matched pair of low-relief pewter wall plaques in the Art Nouveau manner, each depicting a seated woman in a naturalistic landscape with birds in flight and a house visible in the background. The imagery is characteristic of the Art Nouveau vocabulary favoured around 1900, combining the female figure with organic, flowing natural surroundings. Certain areas of each plaque are highlighted with gilding, providing tonal contrast against the matte pewter ground. Each plaque is housed in what appears to be its original wooden frame. Both plaques bear a handwritten signature in the lower left corner; the artist's identity cannot be determined from the available inscription and no attribution is made.
