Middelalder Bronze Ring med original sten, 13.–15. århundrede e.Kr. - 19 mm (Ingen mindstepris)

An authentic medieval bronze finger ring dating to the 13th–15th century AD, set with its original ancient stone. This attractive piece reflects the refined traditions of medieval jewelry while standing out through its distinctive openwork architectural setting. The focal point of the ring is a carefully polished oval light-brown stone, securely held within an open cast bezel formed by three broad petal-shaped projections. This elegant construction not only protected the stone but also allowed its natural beauty to remain fully visible. The warm earthy color of the stone contrasts beautifully with the dark archaeological patina of the bronze, creating a balanced composition that has survived for nearly a millennium. The bronze has developed a rich natural patina in deep green and olive tones, preserving the authentic appearance expected of a genuine archaeological artifact. The ring remains in original excavated condition without restoration, polishing or modern alteration. Rings of this type were widely worn throughout Byzantium and medieval Europe by both men and women. Jewelry incorporating stone settings was generally regarded as more prestigious than plain bronze rings, reflecting personal status, prosperity and refined taste. Well-preserved examples retaining their original ancient stones are considerably less common than ordinary medieval bronze rings, making this piece an excellent addition to any serious collection of historical jewelry.
