Their work fits within the framework of Italian architects, especially those of the post-World War II era: architecture characterized by design excellence as a unique event, a personal choice, and an original and highly valuable functionalism. Their work reveals a formal simplicity, in the planimetric and perspective design, which speaks of light and architectural space, of time, spirituality, and poetry, as some have said, and this creates an exceptional built environment, as in the Madonna dei Poveri in Milan.
