The original robot design is the Osqar table lamp by Ygnacio Baranga from the late 1980s. It was only produced a few years in the 1990s. This lamp is clearly a shameless copy.
The most striking differences are that this lamp has a completely different base and no dimmer. The original has a conical square base with an integrated fuse and dimmer.
