Full title: "Les dessins du cabinet Peiresc au Cabinet des estampes de la Bibliothèque nationale: Antiquité," A study of the celebrated recueils of drawings after the antiquities of Nicolas-Claude Fabri de Peiresc's cabinet, published by a curator of the Cabinet des estampes. First edition. A very nice copy of this limited edition. Number 4 of 125 copies. Complete with 24 attractive full page colour and b/w plates (water colours, engravings, photographic reproductions). The soft covers are in good condition, with a touch of edgewear (slight creasing and some very small closed tears). There are some areas of light loss to the front cover - not affecting the text. The spine appears to have been reinforced with archival tape. Overall though, still attractive. Internally in excellent condition. Clean and tidy throughout. 100 [iv] pages + XXIV plates. The plates were reproduced from the originals by André Marty in 1909. 37 x 29 cm. Conforms to WorldCat / OCLC: 1400441823. Only two library copies are cited. (The Koninklijke Bibliotheek van Belgie and BnF).
