The Nikon AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED is the professional fast telephoto zoom of Nikon’s 1990s autofocus system, built around ED glass for high contrast and low colour fringing at a constant f/2.8. It was a standard tool of press and sports photographers and is still respected for its image quality and solid metal construction. It has an aperture ring, so it works on manual-focus Nikon F bodies as well as autofocus film and digital bodies with a built-in focus motor.
