Et iøjnefaldende stålsikkertamme/et strålende stålkaldeskab? (this is not good).

A striking steel strongbox featuring a beautiful dark green craquelé finish, complemented by a vivid red removable compartment insert. Its distinctive colour combination, textured surface and original details give this piece a wonderful character, making it an eye-catching addition to any collection of vintage safes, strongboxes or industrial objects.

One of its most remarkable features is the craquelé finish, which continues across the interior surfaces and underside rather than being limited to the exterior. This unusual detail gives the strongbox a particularly cohesive appearance and makes it stand out from more conventional examples.

The strongbox features a hinged lid, an original metal carrying handle and a front keyhole with a ring-shaped fitting. The bright red removable compartment insert provides practical, organised storage and creates a striking contrast with the dark green exterior. The original key is included, and both the key and lock are fully functional.

The combination of the rich dark green colour, distinctive crackled finish, vivid red interior and contrasting metal fittings gives this strongbox considerable decorative appeal. It is both a distinctive vintage collectible and a practical storage box for small valuables or personal belongings.

Estimated period: Circa 1940

Dimensions: 25 × 21 × 10 cm

Condition: Good condition, with visible signs of age and use, including scratches, areas of paint loss and wear to the finish. The craquelé surface displays attractive variation throughout, including on the interior and underside. Please examine the photographs carefully as they form an integral part of the description.

The item will be carefully packaged and securely shipped with Track & Trace.
