1902 Great Britain Edward VII Silver Sixpence – NGC MS64 1902 marked the coronation year of King Edward VII, as well as the initial release of the new coinage featuring his royal effigy. Note that a Matte Proof version was also issued in 1902 (mintage: ~15,123). A grade of MS64 (rather than PF/PR) confirms this as a high-grade business strike example, highly desirable among collectors of choice mint-state currency issues. Edward VII silver coinage frequently suffers from chatter marks in the fields. An MS64 grade offers an ideal balance of quality, eye appeal, and market value, making it a mainstay choice for serious collectors of British Commonwealth silver.
