She creates original works in oil, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media, as well as digital illustration. Her practice is driven by emotion and imagination, often leaning into abstract and surrealist styles that question everyday beliefs and the idea of a single “normal” reality. She is drawn to bright, bold colours and strong contrasts that bring energy and depth to each piece. Alongside painting, she explores a range of handmade media, allowing curiosity and play to guide her process. Every work carries the sense of joy and wonder she experiences while making it, even when the subject matter turns to difficult emotions like anxiety. altheeaadebisy.com @altheea_adebisy_art
