A finely decorated Chinese cloisonné enamel bowl, featuring an elegant phoenix in flight surrounded by stylised floral and geometric motifs. The exterior is particularly attractive, with a pale green geometric ground providing a striking contrast to the colourful phoenix. The upper border is richly decorated with floral motifs in turquoise blue, red, purple and white enamels, while the lower section is finished with overlapping decorative bands. The interior is covered in a beautiful and intense turquoise-blue enamel, a characteristic and highly decorative feature of Chinese cloisonné work. The rim and foot are finished in gilt metal. The combination of the phoenix motif, intricate geometric background and vivid enamel colours gives the piece a particularly elegant and harmonious appearance. It displays very well and would make an attractive addition to a collection of Chinese enamelware or Asian decorative arts. The item will be shipped from Japan, carefully and securely packed, with a tracking number provided.
