Auktion over vintage ure

We are pleased to offer a highly charismatic and authentic representative of mid-century European utilitarian design: a vintage Celly Antichoc from around 1960. Originating from the historic Franco-Swiss watchmaking traditions, this timepiece perfectly captures the rugged, adventurous spirit of early exploration and "skin diver" style watches that took the world by storm in the late 1950s.

The Aesthetic of Early Adventure & Rare Caseback:
The watch stands out immediately due to its bi-directional rotating metal bezel, a feature highly sought after by collectors of vintage sports and military-inspired timepieces. The true highlight for collectors is found on the stainless steel caseback, which features a beautiful, deeply engraved historical Scuba Diver icon alongside the Waterproof signature. The dial layout is wonderfully graphic, balanced by clean hour markers and crowned by an eye-catching, vibrant cherry-red sub-second hand at the 6 o'clock position.

A Dial with a Unique Story (Organic Patina Report):
The original matte black dial has aged in a very distinct and visually fascinating manner. The decades have created an honest, organic aging process specifically on the right side of the dial, gracefully tracing the area around the 2, 3, and 4 o'clock numerals. In this section, the dial's upper surface has slightly lifted over time, creating a uniform, wavy micro-relief texture reminiscent of a gentle air pocket beneath a canvas. Rather than a modern flaw, this natural phenomenon gives the watch an inimitable, highly authentic three-dimensional character. It tells a true story of a life lived, creating a unique vintage texture that guarantees no other collector will own the exact same piece.

Condition Report
• Case & Body: Authentic vintage condition showing honest signs of previous deployment, typical for an adventurous tool watch of this age. The chrome finish shows wear consistent with regular use, primarily concentrated on the underside and edges of the case, leaving the upper visual profiles well-defined.
• Dial & Hands: The dial displays a compelling, warm historical aging. The right side features a unique surface lifting (air pocket effect) running along the 2, 3, and 4 o'clock positions, giving it a beautiful, organic vintage relief texture. The hands and the red sub-second scale remain perfectly legible.
• Mechanical Condition: Mechanically sound and fully functional. The manual movement winds smoothly, registers actions crisply, and maintains a stable operational run within historical manufacturing tolerances.
• Water Resistance: Vintage watch, not tested (keep away from water).

Please keep in mind that these historic mechanical wristwatches are described exactly according to their condition, which was verified during cataloging, and are sold in their current authentic state without any documented service history. Although the watches are fully functional and keep accurate time at the moment of the auction, their long-term accuracy, power reserve, and water resistance cannot be guaranteed due to wear on parts caused by age, historical lubricants, changes in temperature and pressure, shocks, and changes in position during transport or wearing. This piece is sold as a collectible and investment item, so for maximum use of its potential and to ensure long-term reliability, regular checks and adjustments by a watch specialist are highly recommended.

Bids from buyers residing in these regions cannot be fulfilled, and orders will be canceled. Thank you for your understanding."
