Printed by the prestigious British security printer Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd. (TDLR), this issue represents one of the most classic and beautifully designed legal tender banknotes of the Republic of China era. The obverse features the iconic Chinese Junk boat under full sail alongside intricate guilloche patterns, symbolizing trade and financial prosperity, complemented by the distinct "Junk" watermark. The reverse showcases rich green engraved details and dynamic landscape artistry.
Outstanding Grade: Graded PMG 65 EPQ, this note retains its original crispness, vibrant inks, perfect embossing, and immaculate eye appeal without any artificial processing or restoration.
EPQ Designation: The Exceptional Paper Quality designation guarantees that the paper remains 100% original as issued nearly a century ago.
Issued during the critical monetary reform (Fabi era) of 1935, this banknote holds immense historical value for collectors of Asian paper currency and modern Chinese financial history.
While circulated examples appear occasionally, finding this specific TDLR variety in Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ condition is becoming increasingly rare, as high-grade surviving pieces are tightly held in private collections.
