Disturbing lithograph of Fini, who learned to draw by sketching corpses in the Trieste Morgue. A persistent self-taught artist with a boundless imagination, she was a symbolist and surrealist like the movement's greatest artists, whom she met and collaborated with on numerous occasions (from Max Ernst and Dorothea Tanning to De Chirico and Max Bellmer). This muse of Cartier-Bresson and illustrator of texts by Poe, Cocteau, and Sade, explores the essence of eroticism, always present in her work.
