Pair of Ancient Roman Gold Appliqués
Circa 1st-2nd century AD
A group of three sheet-gold ornaments: a fragmentary mask-shaped plaque worked in repoussé with stippled upper field and ribbed lower zone, pierced twice near the centre; a similar mask-shaped plaque with paired circular piercings and horizontal ribbing below a dotted field; and a circular disc with a raised narrow rim.
Dimensions: 3 IN 1 SET UP TO 2cm x 1cm x 0,1cm; WEIGHT 0,46 GR
Provenance: Private European Collection; formerly acquired from old UK and European collection formed since the 1970s.
