Matthieu van Riel
Numre
I make ‘figurative, abstract and semi-abstract’ paintings, but actually, it is all abstract, for me there is no difference. I like walking in nature, along flower- and tulipfields, along the North Sea coast, in polders, heathlands and forests in the Netherlands, The Alps, Pyrenees and rugged mountainous regions in Scandinavia. Nature is in my mind. That is why many of my paintings are about nature, about landscape. Website: More information, see my website: Matthieu van Riel. I love Matthieu van Riel’s style. This charming little robin hangs alongside his soothing painting of a North Sea beach titled ‘Vlieland’. Expertly packaged and very promptly delivered. Thank you!

Gorgeous oil painting of a beach in Vlieland, one of the Wadden Islands in the north of the Netherlands. Very evocative for someone who spent happy days as a child on Dutch beaches. Love it.
