Kokoro Japan

I am a mother of two. My elder child is now coming of age, and as that chapter slowly shifts, I made one decision: to finally pursue what I love. I love stones. My late father collected suiseki, Japanese viewing stones, and they were a quiet presence throughout my childhood — though at the time, I barely noticed them. Years passed, and without quite knowing when it happened, I found myself looking at stones the way he once did. Finding landscapes within them. Finding stillness. At Kokoro Japan, I offer Japanese viewing stones and carefully chosen pieces from Japan's culture — antiques, crafts, and quiet treasures. Each one selected by hand. Each one prepared and sent with care. Japan has a concept called Yamato — great harmony. The sense that people, objects, and stories are all connected. That is how I try to live, and how I try to conduct this work. Kokoro means heart. Quietly, sincerely, from Japan.
