Séquencées chronologiquement, les photographies des Todd Hido réunies ici furent réalisées au cours des vingt-cinq dernières années, révélant la profondeur et l’étendue de son œuvre éminemment cinématographique, aux images aussi magnétiques qu’étranges. Un monde fait de paysages brouillés et de routes désolées, de pavillons de banlieue traqués dans les faisceaux blafards des lampadaires, de femmes saisies par la peur ou le désir. De jour, les pièces sont des espaces sombres et claquemurés, de nuit, les maisons deviennent des chambres incandescentes. 

Dans sa préface, l’essayiste David Campany note que « si ces photographies semblent narratives, c’est parce qu’elles suggèrent des histoires non racontées et de possibles scénarios. Elles donnent une sensation de vacuité de ce monde mi-factuel, mi-fictionnel. Malgré la débauche des couleurs, malgré l’épaisseur des atmosphères, Hido manifeste l’économie d’un artiste minimal. »

This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference.
