The legacy of Classic Cars, brought to you by Jeroen Branderhorst

Jeroen Branderhorst #1.1

The design, the sound and the history. That’s why I fell in love with Italian cars.

It was his father that started it. Trips to the Alfa Romeo Museum and even international events. But Jeroen’s interest in classic cars began closer to home – specifically in the hallway, where each night, on his way to bed, he would stop to peer at his dad’s collection of classic car books and scale models. Interest turned to love in 1997, when the Alfa Romeo 156 was introduced. From that day onwards, Jeroen began to consume all the literature he could find on Alfa Romeo, starting with the very books he’d passed on the shelves before bedtime. In 2019, Jeroen became a sales manager for a classic car website, where he specialised in pre-1950 Alfa Romeo parts. He then worked in advertising sales for the Netherlands’ largest model car club, NAMAC. With an extensive background in sales, Jeroen views the commercial side of his job through a collector’s lens. Combining his theoretical and experiential knowledge, he ensures people can buy and sell with confidence on Catawiki. When he’s not collecting cars, you might find Jeroen racing them. He recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of taking part in the legendary Mille Miglia with his father in, you guessed it, an Alfa Romeo.
